Deepak Kumar Pradhan’s journey into the world of interior design was fuelled by a deep-seated passion for creativity and knowledge. Born and brought up in Meghahatuburu, a small township in Jharkhand under SAIL, known for its iron ore mines and the Saranda Forest, he completed his schooling 10th from K. V. Meghahatuburu & 12th from Project Central School before pursuing engineering. Deepak draws immense inspiration from his two brothers, whom he considers his guiding idols. Since childhood, they have been a constant source of support, always standing by his side to help him distinguish between right and wrong. In 2006, he earned his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and began his professional career in Kolkata. Seeking greater opportunities, he moved to Mumbai, where the city’s fast-paced lifestyle initially felt overwhelming. However, Mumbai soon became a defining chapter in his life, shaping his entrepreneurial mindset. As he recalls, the city’s energy and business acumen taught him invaluable lessons—one of which was encapsulated in a phrase

he often heard: “Paisa hawa me udta hai, bas pakadne ka tarika pata hona chahiye.” (Money is in the air; you just need to know how to catch it.)

Returning to Kolkata, Deepak joined ThyssenKrupp, the world’s second-largest multinational company in the conveyor belt division, as a Design Engineer. Despite the lucrative package, he found the learning environment uninspiring. Longing for a more fulfilling career, he took on a freelance home interior project through a friend’s reference. The success of this project led to several more, gradually expanding his network.

The turning point in his career came when he decided to leave his corporate job and fully dedicate himself to interior design. His first major client, Mr. Arup Bhattacharjee, a US resident, entrusted him with a project based on a mutual connection’s recommendation. The trust and appreciation he received from this project set the foundation for what would become Dream Vision Idea. From that moment onward, Deepak never looked back, building his firm with a relentless commitment to innovation and excellence in interior design.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Deepak, along with his two brothers (Mr. Gauri Shankar Pradhan & Mr. Jay Shankar Pradhan), collaborated to establish a diagnostic center at a time when most businesses were coming to a halt. As the first entrepreneur in his family, Deepak paved the way for business ventures within the household. Today, both of his brothers have also entered the world of business. In addition to his contributions to the diagnostic center, Deepak independently manages a pet shop and a sports shop, demonstrating his entrepreneurial leadership across multiple industries.
