Reflecting on what inspired her to pursue a career in law, Dr. Nilakshi believes that legal knowledge is essential in every aspect of life. She began her career 24 years ago as a financial analyst for a U.S.-based multinational corporation and, within a year, was promoted to branch head due to her outstanding performance. The company specialized in providing an online trading platform for currencies, bullions, and commodities across Dow Jones, Nasdaq, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Transitioning into the legal field, she joined Fox Mandal Associates as a Law Associate and later worked with Vaish Associates Advocates. Her corporate journey continued as she took on the role of Compliance Manager for Chevron Oil Corporation and Company Secretary for Caltex Gas India Pvt Ltd. She eventually became the Legal Head for SAARC at Abengoa, a Spanish multinational corporation specializing in railway electrification, transmission lines, solar energy, and telecom—a company that employed 125,000 professionals globally.
