From Intern to Industry Leader

Bhargava is an Aeronautical Engineer by qualification and Certified Master Trainer who trained more than 100 Trainers in Aviation by traveling across India. He is a member of various distinguished Boards of Educational Institutions including The Board of Advisors of HAL Management Academy. He is the First Recipient of the GMR Aviation Gold Medal for the project on Aerotropolis. Bhargava is trained in Carnatic classical Music and learned to play Saraswathi Veena. Chess and Shuttle Badminton are his favorite sports

Bhargava’s journey in aviation began during his internship at the MRO of Air India, located at Begumpet Airport, while he was pursuing his engineering degree. His interest in airport management grew significantly during his final year of engineering.

After completing his engineering studies and gaining two years of work experience, Bhargava decided to pursue an MBA in Aviation Business Management. During this period, he was influenced by Professor P.K. Thomas, who taught MBA students about family business and entrepreneurship. Bhargava’s current business partner, Mr. Vivek Bhattarai, studied this course and introduced Bhargava to Professor Thomas. The professor mentored many aspiring entrepreneurs and provided valuable guidance to Bhargava and Vivek as they sought to start their own companies.

Bhargava’s inspiration comes from aviation industry stalwart Mr. P.S. Nair, the former CEO of GMR Airports. He believes that aviation is not just about transportation; it is about

fulfilling a purpose and a mission that goes beyond mere travel. This perspective, which he has observed in Mr. Nair, keeps Bhargava motivated to remain in the industry.

He considers receiving the GMR Aviation Gold Medal for his study project on Aerotropolis as his greatest achievement to date. Additionally, Bhargava takes pride in seeing his students working across the world with various airports, airlines, and aviation-related organizations, viewing their success as his greatest contribution to the industry.

Bhargava recognizes that his leadership style evolves daily, and he strives to adopt a combination of autocratic and democratic approaches based on the needs of the situation. Innovation is a pillar of his company; he actively encourages the implementation of innovative ideas in both operations and learning and development, favoring experiential training methods.
